Vintage Solid Oak Thimbles Shelf 20x19x3+ Inches 48 spots

Description

This Listing is for a Vintage quarter sewn Solid Oak Thimbles Shelf with grains on display , measuring 20 1/2 inches wide by about 19 inches tall by 3 5/8 inches in maximum depth with 48 spots cut into the shelves for maximum stability each about 7/8 inches in widest diameter. It would be great for topping an existing shelf or perhaps hanging if hanging devices are installed.
It roughly weighs about 8 1/2 lbs.
In very good vintage condition with following noted: a bruise on the back left top as shown,  paint rub on upper right edge which shows in photographs but has been rubbed off with a damp cloth and is gone, a couple of dings and minor scuffs barely noticeable .
These were one of the first Thimble shelves produced and sold decades ago. The newer ones even though might seem more practical with a plexiglass cover which supposedly take many more thimbles than this one , are really like a toy , not a practical piece of display. I rate this one two arms and three legs better than their newer counterparts. The new ones are much smaller, have no carved spots and are really like a doll house furniture.

Great News On International shipments: Ebay has instituted a new International Shipment Option around March of 2020 Which is Insured up to $100 USD, Shows Delivery Confirmation and uses First Class. This option has resolved Issues with First Class Shipments which cannot be insured and did not show a delivery confirmation, hence I am adding a Shipment option called EBAY INTERNATIONAL STANDARD DELIVERY which in general is cheaper and roughly about half the cost of Priority Mail offered on Items that are under $100 and under 4 lbs of weight. In some cases about 19%  and less. This is because First Class is the method ebay International Standard Delivery uses and First Class uses larger denominations as oppose to 1 ounce at a time and I think like Half Pound or One Pound at a time.Look for this new option under shipping tab.
