This listing is for a vintage handcrafted silver & blue lapis inlay link belt
We’re not sure, but we’re thinking this belt may be Mexican, but we’ll leave that up to you, the experts
This belt features eight (8) round medallions that have inlay designs using blue lapis
Each medallion measures about 1 1/2″ in diameter
In between each round medallion is an oval of blue lapis framed in the silver; this oval measures approx. 7/8″ x 5/8″ and there are 8 of them
Connecting all pieces are three (3) figure eight-like loops that connect on each end
The belt connects with a simple hook
This belt measures 34″ and it weighs 158.6 grams
This is a very interesting piece which we believe to possibly be Mexican. We’re not sure about the silver purity since there are no markings. The silver has lots of patina, spotting, tarnishing & marks. Great detail with the blue lapis inlay. Some natural surface cracks on some of the lapis.
