BRAND NEW, AUTHENTIC VINTAGE OVERALL JACKET/CHORE COAT-MADE IN USA BY UNIVERSAL OVERALL COMPANY
This is a true vintage garment designed to be worn by individuals performing some type of manual labor.  Because of this, the measurement for the chest is especially larger for two main reasons:
First, to allow for ease of movement while working.
Second, to allow for layering of of clothing underneath the jacket. As one no longer needs the layering of clothing, it may be removed and the jacket will fit loser, but the generous chest measurement is so that the jacket will fit when wearing multiple layers to initially keep warm.
***MOST JACKETS ARE WHITE.  HOWEVER, THERE ARE A SELECT FEW IN LIGHTLY BLEACHED WHITE (off-white, NOT solid, bright white).  If you prefer a certain shade, please send an email to us or add a note to your order with your request for the preferred shade. (white or lightly bleached white)
SIZE 48: chest-54 inches from the outside (chest-52 to 54 inches as actual chest measurement depending on the thickness of clothing worn underneath), back length- 31.5 inches
SIZE 50: chest-54.25 inches from the outside (chest-50.25 to 54.25 inches as actual chest measurement depending on the thickness of clothing worn underneath), back length- 31.5 inches
SIZE 52: chest-54.5 inches from the outside (chest-52.5 to 54.5 inches as actual chest measurement depending on the thickness of clothing worn underneath), back length- 31.5 inches
SIZE 56: chest-61 inches from the outside (chest-59 to 61 inches as actual chest measurement depending on the thickness of clothing worn underneath), back length- 33 inches
SIZE 58: chest-62 inches from the outside (chest-60 to 62 inches as actual chest measurement depending on the thickness of clothing worn underneath), back length- 32.5-33 inches
SIZE 60: chest-63 inches from the outside (chest-61 to 63 inches as actual chest measurement depending on the thickness of clothing worn underneath), back length- 32.5-33 inches
FABRIC: 100% Cotton Preshrunk 8.5 oz twill
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: Wash in cold to luke warm water, tumble dry on low heat,
DO NOT BLEACH, DO NOT WASH IN HOT WATER AND DO NOT TUMBLE DRY ON HIGH.
Doing so can cause excessive shrinkage beyond the normal 2-3% for a cotton garment and weaken the integrity of the fabric which can cause tears in the seams and the brass buttons to fall off.

POCKET: Two chest pockets with pencil stall and two lower patch pockets
LENGTH: Size 42 is 30.5 inches (length increases in increments of 1/2 to inch with the increase of each size)
