Vintage Marathon Oil Co. Thermometer in Original Box NOS

Description

This is a great vintage new old stock plastic advertising thermometer in the original cardboard packaging.  The thermometer is marked "Marathon - Best In The Long Run" on the top and Franklin Jacobs - Marathon Products - Bottle Gas - Phone 0X 3-3779 - Walbridge - Ohio.  The thermometer measures 7" in length x 2 1/2" wide and is in excellent condition.  Late 1950's to early 1960's I'd say.
The cardboard packaging also measures 7" in length x 2 1/2" wide and states "Service Thermometer - A friendly greeting we extend to you, With kind words to our friends both old and new; Your friendship we cherish - warm and true, And also the loyalty of folks like you, These words of greeting are meant to say, It's a pleasure and privilege serving you today." also with an image of a 1950's car with scenery in the background.
It is marked in a very small circle on the back "Made in USA"
No markings indicating who it was made by?
Marathon may of had a dept. at the time that created such items?
A very neat NOS piece.
