Vintage 30s William Spratling 980 sterling silver belt buckle Mexico Taxco

Description

A very handsome William Spratling handmade belt buckle (with belt), probably from the 1930s.
Classic Spratling design elements, with incised striations and raised domes; stamped on back Taxco 980 (and the artist's stamp) WS.
Black leather belt is included- ready to wear now, or buckle is easily detachable.
Buckle measures 1.75" across; 1 and 5/8" high.
Belt is 38" long (not including buckle) and just a hair over 1" wide.
Excellent vintage condition, a beautiful and iconic piece from this renowned silversmith.
