This is a replica of the original Breastplate produced by the Mixtecs for the Aztecs, found in Yanhuitlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. The original Gold and turquoise breastplate was in the form of a shield 'chimalli', pierced by a group of arrows. From the National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico City.
