Megan Rapinoe Auto Pride Soccer Jersey Game Issued 2018 USWNT Framed US Soccer

Featured is the autographed USWNT Pride soccer jersey of superstar Megan Rapinoe from the 2018 You Can Play Project auction, sponsored by the U.S. Soccer Federation. This jersey (won by me in the auction) was part of Megan's game-issued kit for the June 07, 2018 USWNT friendly against China PR that took place in Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy Utah. The U.S. Women won the match 1-0 with a goal scored by Alex Morgan (#13) in the 57th minute, assisted by a key pass from Rapinoe (#15).
Though U.S. Soccer has a long history of support for the LGBTQ+ community, the year 2021 marks only the third time in U.S. Soccer history that the U.S. Men's & Women's National Teams have donned Pride-inspired jerseys for their matches in support of LGBTQ+ Pride month, now celebrated each June. (The USWNT had an abbreviated season in 2020 due to the global pandemic and did not play in June of 2020) In each of these three years (and counting), the U.S. Soccer Federation has donated one autographed Pride jersey, per player, to be auctioned off with the proceeds benefitting the You Can Play Project. The You Can Play Project is an organization dedicated to furthering the safety and inclusion of LGBTQ+ athletes, coaches, support staff, and fans across the sports world and the globe.
This framed jersey measures 33 and 5/8ths inches wide x 37 and 1/8th inches tall x 1 inch deep, and comes accompanied by its original, laminated U.S. Soccer authenticity certification.
It has been a prized part of my personal sports collection at home and its time to pass it on to another Pinoe fan. The 2021 autographed Pride jersey of Megan Rapinoe just sold in this year's You Can Play auction for a whopping 70.  Though these particular Pride jerseys donated and auctioned for this particular cause are, indeed, extremely rare in number - only 3 of Rapinoe's exist now, to date, as of June 27, 2021 - this one can be yours.
