High-Style Ca. 1940 Vintage Mexican Silver & Amethyst Cabochon Ring W/ Ornaments
This handmade circa 1940 ring has a clean and stylish presentation around a beautiful, 12.72 carat lilac purple amethyst cabochon. Polished and refined, the natural amethyst is mounted in an unobtrusive bezel, and the ring has pre-Columbian style ornaments "riveted" onto each broad shoulder. Marked "Made In Mexico" and "Silver," and in excellent condition, it tests positive for sterling silver, measures a size 8 (sizable) and weighs 10.2 grams.
Amethyst is February's birthstone, and is thought to facilitate spirituality and contentment.
