YOU ARE BIDDING ON THIS HISTORICAL ARTIFACT HAND SIGNED BY CHARLES A. LINDBERGH AND IGOR SIKORSKY. IT IS FROM MY FATHERS PERSONAL COLLECTION. MY FATHER HAD THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE OF KNOWING THESE FAMOUS AMERICAN AND RUSSIAN AIRCRAFT PIONEERS WHILE ON ASSIGNMENT AT THE CHANCE VOUGHT AIRCRAFT CORP. IN STRATFORD CT. CHARLES LINDBERGH EMERGED FROM VIRTUAL OBSCURITY TO INSTANTANEOUS WORLD FAME AS THE RESULT OF HIS SOLO NON STOP FLIGHT FROM NEW YORK TO PARIS MAY 20-21,1927. HE WAS AWARDED THE MEDAL OF HONOR THE NATION'S HIGHEST MILITARY DECORATION FOR HIS HISTORIC ENDEAVOR.IGOR SIKORSKY WAS A RUSSIAN AMERICAN PIONEER OF AVIATION IN BOTH HELICOPTERS AND FIXED-WING AIRCRAFT. HE DESIGNED AND FLEW THE WORLD'S FIRST MULTI ENGINE FIXED-WING AIRCRAFT AND DESIGNED THE (VS-300) THAT WAS THE FIRST VIABLE AMERICAN HELICOPTER WHICH PIONEERED THE ROTOR CONFIGURATION USED BY MOST HELICOPTERS TODAY. THE SIGNATURES ARE ON A PIECE OF AIRCRAFT FABRIC THAT MEASURES 2 3/8X4 INCHES FROM THE ONE OF A KIND VOUGHT V-173 FLYING PANCAKE THAT COL.LINDBERGH FLEW AND ATTACHED TO A PIECE OF CRACKED PLEXIGLASS OF UNDETERMINED ORIGIN. THERE IS ONLY ONE OTHER ARTIFACT KNOWN TO BE IN EXISTENCE TODAY THAT WAS SIGNED BY BOTH. THIS PIECE WAS AUTHENTICATED AND FEATURED ON THE TV SHOW HISTORY DETECTIVES JULY 12-2011.
